3. Studio Booking and Rental Policies
StudioLux Rentals provides premier photography and videography studio spaces for rent. Our booking and rental policies are designed to ensure a smooth and professional experience for all our clients.
3.1 Reservation Process
Reservations can be made through our Website or by contacting our booking team directly. All bookings are subject to availability. We recommend booking in advance, especially for peak times and larger studio spaces. A booking is confirmed only after you receive a written confirmation from StudioLux Rentals. You will be required to provide accurate contact and payment information during the reservation process.
3.2 Payment Terms and Methods
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total rental fee is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to your scheduled rental start time. Payments can be made via major credit cards, bank transfers, or other methods specified on our Website. Late payments may result in cancellation of your booking without refund of the deposit.
3.3 Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellations made 14 days or more before the rental start time: A full refund of the total rental fee, minus the non-refundable deposit, will be issued.
- Cancellations made between 7 and 13 days before the rental start time: 50% of the total rental fee will be refunded, minus the non-refundable deposit.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the rental start time: No refund will be issued.
StudioLux Rentals reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., equipment failure, natural disaster, unforeseen maintenance). In such cases, a full refund, including the deposit, will be issued, or an alternative booking date will be offered at the client's discretion.
3.4 Studio Usage Rules and Regulations
Clients must adhere to the following rules during their rental period:
- Studio hours are strictly adhered to. Access outside of booked hours requires prior arrangement and may incur additional fees.
- No smoking is permitted inside the studios. Designated smoking areas, if available, must be used.
- The use of open flames, pyrotechnics, or any hazardous materials is strictly prohibited without explicit written permission and appropriate safety precautions.
- Clients are responsible for cleaning up their personal belongings and any significant mess created during their rental. Basic tidying is expected; excessive cleaning may result in additional charges.
- Any modifications to the studio space (e.g., painting, drilling, extensive setup) must be approved in writing by StudioLux Rentals in advance.
- Food and beverages are permitted in designated areas. Please avoid bringing them into sensitive equipment areas or main shooting spaces unless specifically for a food-related shoot.
- Respect for shared spaces and neighboring tenants is paramount. Noise levels should be kept reasonable.
3.5 Liability for Damages
Clients are solely responsible for any damage caused to the studio space, its fixtures, furniture, or equipment during their rental period, whether caused by the client, their guests, or their equipment. This includes damage due to negligence, misuse, or accidents. StudioLux Rentals reserves the right to charge the client for the cost of repairs or replacement of any damaged property.
Clients agree to indemnify and hold harmless StudioLux Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from or in connection with their use of the studio, including but not limited to personal injury or property damage.
3.6 Studio Opening Hours and Access
Our standard operating hours for rentals are from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Sunday rentals are available by special request and may incur higher rates. Access to the studio will be granted at the start of your booked period and must be vacated promptly at the end. Late departures may be subject to overtime charges.
4. Equipment Rental Terms
StudioLux Rentals may offer various photography and videography equipment for rent separately or in conjunction with studio bookings. These terms apply to all equipment rentals:
- All equipment is rented "as is." Clients are encouraged to inspect the equipment thoroughly before use and report any visible defects immediately.
- Clients are responsible for the proper use, care, and security of all rented equipment. Any loss, theft, or damage to the equipment will be charged to the client at its replacement value.
- Equipment must be returned in the same condition as it was received, cleaned and in proper working order.
- Late returns may incur additional rental fees.
- Specific user manuals or operating instructions for complex equipment will be provided where applicable.
5. Intellectual Property
The content of the StudioLux Rentals Website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, software, and the arrangement thereof, is the property of StudioLux Rentals and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our Website, except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by law.
Any user-generated content posted to the Website (e.g., testimonials, comments) is owned by the user, but by posting it, you grant StudioLux Rentals a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform such content in connection with the Website and StudioLux Rentals' business.

7. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Website shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Los Angeles County, California. The number of arbitrators shall be one. The language of the arbitration shall be English.
